Just got an iPod Touch, mainly because I wanted apps. So, anything I need to get??

Obviously you will want the facebook & tumblr apps. If you use skype or twitter, the skype app is good & there are a lot of twitter apps out there (I don’t tweet; I wouldn’t know, but they always pop up on the top 25s every once in a while).
Others I use often include: shazam, ebuddy, dropbox and yelp.
In terms of games, I would just watch out for “lite” apps - they sucker you into wanting more (its why I bought diner dash, which is awesome, but I hate paying for apps since so many are free). Check out freeappaday.com for free downloads of full games - as it says, one per day.
Finally, the appstore lets you look at the top25 free apps. You can try all of them, and just delete the crappy ones after…at no cost to you!
